Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on 16 March 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. She appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Claiodhnadh, also known as Aisling "Bea" is a popular Irish writer and actor. She was born on the 16th of March 1984. Following appearances in bits on a number of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea began her professional career as a stand-up comic in the year 2011. She was already regularly performing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. After winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for different panel shows, where she has become a fixture. Between 2016 and 2017 she was part of the 8 Out of 10 Cats Team, in addition to being a performer on the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her younger sister. In 2012, she became the only woman to win the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea was awarded the award to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling Cliodhnadh, born the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who committed suicide at the age of three when Bea turned three, was the victim of self-harm. She was told about his passing at the age of thirteen. In 2017, she published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and took on the stage name Bea to pay tribute. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) an elementary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a former professional jockey. They were obsessed with racing and horses. Bea started her journey as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However, she realized early on that the racing industry wasn't for her.
